I took it further than just the star in the sky, but thought I would do one of the stars on the Hollywood Boulevard.
Elvis was not any special favorite of mine, but I needed a short name to fit in the space. So Elvis it is. I seem to be having a problem keeping within the lines and also starting at the same point on a line that I stopped at. Not sure if it's my eyes or just because it's so small.
I called this, Trefoil
Then I tried something else. I saw a photograph of this design below in the local newspaper . It was part of a mural. The wall was covered with many of these designs. To me it looks like a shell and I really like it, so I thought I'd give it a try and this is the result:
Not so difficult as it looks, but definitely more delicate than my doodles.
I like many Elvis songs, and my hairdresser is also named Elvis :) Great idea for your star. Is your doodle also done on a square inch? It is lovely! It seems to me it could satisfy your "star" theme as well.
ReplyDeleteHi Carol,my doodles are usually done on 3 1/2 X 3 1/2. The shell is about 5x5 inches.
ReplyDeleteThis is interesting, as I just read a comment from a blogger in Canada, that is an Elvis fan, and said he would be 78 today!!
ReplyDeleteSo I think your star is perfect for the day!!
I am looking forward to my 79th birthday later this year. Hope you will have a nice 2013.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great 'star' interpretation!

ReplyDeleteLove your idea of your inchie. Didn't think of some other stars than the stars at the sky.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool idea... there's not many 'stars' greater than Elvis! Love your inchie!
