Well the best laid plans....I planned not to miss any weeks of ABC this time around so am making a special effort to get this in under the wire.
Exactly one year ago to the day, I was whisked away to the emergency room for an intestinal problem.
Sunday night it happened again. Same problem, same treatment, same result, same date, same circumstances. No surgery scheduled -- as yet.
I just got home from the hospital and decided I might have time to meet the deadline for ABC WED.,
but lacking in mental and physical energy not to mention creativity I do not have much to offer.....well, I did come up with a good C word for today.
Thanks to all ABCer leaders. Please visit HERE for many much better contributions to this popular and fun project. You won't regret it.
hope this will be the last time you have it.
ReplyDeletecoincidences. how the wrong ones keep repeating at the right times
ReplyDeleteOh Chris, my thoughts are with you! I am hoping by now the treatment is doing its work and that your energy is coming back.
ReplyDeleteIt just occurs to me as I write that you and I both have "C" names :)
And, here's my attempt at a Clever response to make you smile:
Wow! You Certainly didn't Capitulate under a Compelling Conundrum that would have Confounded most.
Hopefully, since it repeated itself they can come up with a permanent plan. Glad you had time to blog.

I CERTAINLY hope you feel better!

What a strange coincidence, one year apart to the day. I hope you are well today.
ReplyDeleteSince you must have a "c" word, I am wondering...have you ever been checked for Celiac disease? I am only asking since it takes an average of 11 years before someone is diagnosed in the USA.
ReplyDeleteMy husband has had Celiac disease since he was 3 years old. He almost died as a youngster. It's a bit strange now, since people go on gluten free diets as a trendy fad. For my Richard, it is a necessity.
Anyway, it would not hurt to be tested for it. Hope you get better soon.
Hope you are feeling fine now, Chris.
ReplyDeleteMay you never encounter such coincidence.
Posting for ABCW even after the painful episode proves your commitment & competence :)
Cool!
Here is my Post for this week's ABCW-

Note- Sharing it here just for your info to make it easy for you if you wanna reach me :)
Sorry to hear you have had a recurrence. Nothing like being regular.
ReplyDeletePS, the little micro card card goes inside the end of the big one, then it works like any full sized SD card
Oh Chris, I'm so sorry. I've missed you and hope you'll be able to continue. If it's gall bladder, get it taken care of as it's so much simpler these days than when I had it done at age 21 (a looooong time ago!). Anyway, take care and prayers coming your way.
