CREATIVE TUESDAY, June 10

THEME  -- BIRD CAGE

I freely admit that the idea for this picture came from Tweetie Pie and Felix.  I was going to copy a picture of them from the web but it gave me the idea for this much milder version.

I thought this was going to be an easy theme, but it wasn't as easy as I expected.  However with all the "No-No's" going on with Scruffy, my cat, who is obsessed with escaping again, it soon came to me.  As my husband frequently quotes, "How are you going to keep them down on the farm once they've seen gay Paree (Paris)".

Please visit other participants in CREATIVE TUESDAY if you can.  After working on a piece of art for several hours -- or even days, everyone loves to have encouraging comments and most of
us will then visit your blog.

Just because a theme is old does not make your effore any less creative. You have captured the essence of the situation perfectly.

Oh Chris this is so cute. It may be my favorite of all your CT entries. There is so much personality in it, and it's just a wonderful drawing. Love the birdcage and bird...You and Scruffy are just too cute too.
Good job..I think I would make this into a little note card.

Scruffy to bird: "I, too, know what it feels like to be caged in. Let's escape together!"

Chris to Scruffy: " Now, Scruffy, don't you get any bright ideas!"

HAha, funny comment from hubs.Cute drawing and idea. I like yours better than just a simple replica of Loony tunes. Oh, and guess what? I guessed you'd do a bird cage just before I clicked on your name sure enough, you did! Glad you stuck through the challenge of this one. Can't wait to read what you think of the next theme too. thanks so much for doing this for CT. Wonderful.

Nice drawing, Chris.
Happily >I have no cat because I have two nests under the porch.
All my best thoughts to Haley.

I thought I had left a comment on the previous post, but I guess it was a senior moment :) Loved the photos of Haley and am thinking of her every day, especially when I walk past roses. I haven't yet seen the exact red I think she likes best, but will post a photo when I do. As for your bird in the cage, it is another wonderfully creative and, at least from my non-professional viewpoint, beautifully executed drawing. I want to add a special thanks for the flower-id's. Your time and kindness were so very much appreciated! Hope Scruffy's "I want to escape" phase passes soon and he settles back into his wonderful life with you.
