More Art Work this Weekend

Poppies and Forget-Me-Nots
From a photograph taken in Norway last year.

Now. ...What to do Next?

( I said in my last blog that these poppies were to be found in Goathland, North Yorkshire.  It's true there were some beautiful poppies there, but later I remembered these with the Forget-Me-Nots were taken in Norway.)

Goathland - Norway.... well they both had Vikings at some point in their history! ;)

The poppies are lovely. I almost never do flowers and I'm always impressed by people who can make them look good. I especially like the one bottom left that's obviousl not been out of the bud very long.

They are exquisite, Chris!

Gorgeous picture, Chris; you've captured the delicacy of the petals just right. They might be from Norway, but they are just as beautiful as the North Yorkshire variety! x

So these won't have a Yorkshire accent? They're still pretty!

I love the crinkly, silky petals of poppies. The ones you've painted have some movement as though the breeze is softly blowing.
Years ago when I took lessons in tole painting, I did some poppies using oils. They were one of my favorite flowers to paint.
