ME -- SCRUFFY!
I haven't lived here two months yet, but I sure know the way things work.
In the mornings I'm on patrol between the den and the kitchen.
Yes, I do have long legs and that means I can run pretty quickly even if I am eight years old. We've got a lot of squirrels and rabbits I have to guard against.
I hide under one of the chairs until I spot one.
There's one now! He thinks I can't see him behind that screen.
GOTCHA!
...well almost.
Now where'd he go?
Whew! All that guarding wore me out. Time for a nap in the cushions of the sofa.
Got to keep my strength up because every afternoon I have to go the office where I help my Dad
work on his sermons.
After all that hard work all day, I spend my evenings snuggled up with Mom while she reads or
watches TV.
Maybe I'll bring you another update next month, so stay tuned.

Thanks for that update on your strenuous day Scruffy. I can quite see all those important duties would tax anyone. Looking forward to your next posting. Keep a look out on my blog, when I have sorted the mountain of travel stuff I have to report on, you may find some pictures of a similarly handsome cat.
Talk about the life of Riley!...er...Scruffy! He's a darling, Chris!
So good to see you looking so at home and comfortable, Scruffy. Your dad is blessed to have you to help him with his sermons, although I have a feeling you might be a bit of a distraction to him - a very pleasant one, mind you!
Hi Chris
That's one handsome cat - it's amazing how they like chairs, my male cat likes my computer chair - i have to share it with him!
xx
Oh it's a Cat's Life!
Scruffy day woudl make a cute children book! Your pictures sure tell the story.
Dad's desk look's my my dearest when he preparing a sermon.
Don't you just love it when they will snuggle...
Our cat, or the granddaughter's cat, goes through the motions of catching birds and squirrels and is separated from success by a pane of glass he hasn't figured out yet.
Oh Scruffy. You work much harder than our cats. They just sit around in the garden all day.
Your little Kitty sure has found himself a great home. Seems he rules the roost. Great shots Chris and I love the narative too.
Your very handsome feline was certainly a good choice. I do think he's far too handsome for a name such as "Scruffy." How nice that you have each other as companions.
