I imagine these Z's have all been done before, but I'm not about to quit at this point. So here they are.
CATCHING SOME ZZZZ's
MOTH (the Man of the House) caught napping along with Cody, our son's cat when we were in Boise recently.
ZIPPER
How did we ever live without them? -- but now they've almost been replaced with velcro!

ZIG ZAG
(according to WIKIPEDIA)
A zigzag is a pattern made up of small corners at variable angles, though constant within the zigzag, tracing a path between two parallel lines; it can be described as both jagged and fairly regular. Traditionally a "zig" points in the left direction (/) and a "zag" points right (\).
{That's interesting. Didn't know that before}.
Examples of zigzagsLightning is often depicted with a zigzag design, with long downward strokes and short backward ones.
Pinking shears are designed to cut cloth or paper with a zigzag edge, to lessen fraying.
Zigzags are a basic decorative pattern used on pottery, and are often seen in the cuts which separate pieces of ravioli pasta.

I like the zzzZZZZ bit, do they know you posted them? Getting a bit into geek land with sawtooth and triangular waveforms, more my territory. Like you, I did not know the difference between a zig and a zag.
I love zippers. I don't care for velcro.
The zigzag stuff was really interesting!
ROG, ABC Wednesday team
I never knew that about zigzags. But doesn't that mean that your example is a zagzig?!
If you start from the other end does it become a gazgiz?
Great Zs.
Aaah, the picture of MOTH and Cody is lovely!

There are pathways, called the Zigzags, leading up and down the steep cliffs at Bournemouth. They are a joy for children to run down and a pleasure for adults, who can stop and enjoy a different sea view at every turn. It is not so much fun climbing back up again!
A lovely photo of your Moth and his feline friend.
Taking zzzzs once in a while is very refreshing.
MY ABC, have a nice da!
I can relate to the dozing photo. I do it a lot.
interesting info about zig and zag - they say you learn somehting new everyday - have a good week - Jane
Know MOTH looks downright out of it!!! Don snoozes in his recliner most every afternoon.
I think I only have one item in my closet that has a zipper. But I do remember having to learn how to put on in, in my first sewing class.
Oh yes, rickrat...Was on every little dress or skirt my mother made us.
I have a "Zig" in my post, Zig Ziglar.
Very creative and good post to end Round 8.
I'll never remember which is a zig and which is a zag. :-)
fantastic to hear you are in for Round 9 Chris xxxxx Loved the collection - as I always do.
How often life zigs when it should have zagged...
Most interesting. Pushing out a few Zs is always refreshing, for man and beast;-)
Love how Cody is also taking his zzzz's....keeping MOTH company!
Velcro is useful for some things, especially for kids, but I still prefer zippers - old fashioned, I guess
Nice post fir Z, Chris.
The first photo reminds me when our little pretty female cat made a nap with my husband.
Perfect choices for Z.
My MOTH does hours of ZZZZ's in the recliner while he is "resting his eyes".
