My Week's Art Work

The first one is the black and white cat from Wanda's Art Challenge. I did this one with Prisma Color pencils.

The second one I took (with permission) from a very nice photograph Monsoon Dreams posted on her blog..It was of a group of ballerinas and I chose just one of the faces to reproduce.  Thank you Monsoon Dreams.

I did this one with water colors only.  It was quite a challenge.

You are very brave to try portraits in watercolour. This is an excellent result. You must be very pleased with it.

The cat's lovely too.

When you get the chance check out this entry. You've been nominated for a blog award.

Such talent *sigh*!
I like them both very much. It must be interesting to be able to use different media.

Hi ChrisJ.

I draw (psychic art mostly) and I paint in oils occasionally but one thing I have never got a grip of is watercolour - I really struggle with it.
Great paintings

I had a black and white cats about 15 years ago who had that same wistful look. Her name was Bronwen, which was shortened to "Wenna."
For a variety of reasons she became an outdoor-only cat and eventually disappeared in the vast Wyoming landscape.
I think that your love for cats is evdent in the way you are able to capture expression in their little faces.
