FRIDAY - MY TOWN SHOOT -OUT...

         ...LIGHTS

Christmas lights will be different for us this year. At the old house, after so many years we had all the hooks and nails in place for hanging the stars, lights and bows.  But at this house there doesn't seem to be any where to hang things without climbing a ladder and getting busy with nails and hooks.

I told my husband no climbing ladders.  Whether he will listen to me or not is another matter!  We also have an HOA who are rather careful about what you put at the front of your home, (which I think overall may be a good thing). I think we shall have to take a look around the neighborhood after dark and see what things have already been approved.

In addition there are no window-sills or ledges, only what is part of the furniture -- AND we have a cat who does love to chew grassy-looking things, which has unfortunate (and messy) consequences.

I remember having cats at Christmas time, and how they loved the ornaments on the tree and anything that was shinny or make a tingle noise.

Also, I worked for almost 20 years in Property Management and the last 10 I was in charge of HOA. I know what you mean. Good idea to check it out at night.

I love Christmas decorations and lights inside and outside. No cat at home.

I assume an HOA is not a garden impliment spelt wrong. It is possible they have some equivelent over here but it is not a bit of jargon I am familiar with. CYEP?
IWBMG.

I think your candle display is very pretty, Chris. Look at it this way; at least you won't have a lot to put away, when Christmas is over!

Chris you have a beautiful candle display and some good photography there. Yes we have a HOA and not allowed to have clothes lines, which I miss.

I am trying very hard to not miss my old home so much that I miss the good about the new one. Some days I fail, some days not. the candles are nice, let their light shine.

Lovely Christmas decoration. I appreciate the explanation of HOA. it did have me puzzled. I know there is a similar thing here in some places but don't know what they are called.

That's a shame you're not able to decorate it fully to your liking. But I love what you have shared with us so far.

Nice decorations. I love Christmas but my house isn't worthy of Christmas Decorations.

Hard to put things up Without Windowsills.
Don't want my Honey on a ladder either. Fortunately this house came with hooks in place and it's single story.
Have a Wonderful Christmas celebration, With or Without outside lights.

Found some amazing almost invisible hooks this year at Amazon so I am planning to leave them up all year round. Called Command hooks. They can be removed easily too if necessary.
