Of Shepherds and Pastors

My husband is a pastor -- retired yes, sort of. Among our wood carvings that we have collected over the years we have these three, purchased especially because of his calling. Once a pastor always a pastor. A pastor is one who shepherds his sheep.









This one, and the one below he brought home after separate visits to the Holy Land. These two are actually from Bethlehem.






















This one, though actually resin rather than a wood carving, is especially attractive, I think. We bought this one from Wales, the land of sheep and shepherds. That may look like dust on it to you, but I assure you it is not! It is just the texture.
