THANKSGIVING DAY

No, no pictures of turkey and mounds of good food, although we certainly had our share.  We did what has become a tradition in our family.  We went to GAYLORDS on Kauai.  A wonderful restaurant in a plantation setting.  It was everything that we have come to expect -- over-the-top excellence.

My first stop was to visit the sunny steps where every year we have seen what we call 'our Kauai Cat'.  I have photographs of her on the same sunny step every year on Thanksgiving Day since 2007.  Would she still be there again this year?

OH-OH....

THE STEPS ARE EMPTY!!...

Then my husband called.."Here she is!"   And there she was curled up  on a comfy chair.  When I got closer I saw a notice on the chair...

 Can you read it?.... AWWW...!

(Taken on the way out.)

So we let her sleep.  Hope she's there next year!

What a nice Thankgiving tradition.

What a sweet old gal....perhaps the chair is a bit more comfy than the steps.

We had a great time with our family, and now that most of the grandchildren are teenagers...it was a lot of laughter, joking and noise...but really fun to see the "cousins" having so much fun.

I did get a couple of pictures of the great grandkids...but only the side of their faces, as they were too busy playing to look up.

Was wonderful to eat a thanksgiving dinner including gravy and pie with out pain..Yeah, so glad that gb is out!!!!

Look like you both had a wonderful & very rewarding Thanksgiving yesterday at able to see April again.

I had Pork chops, stuffing, mix veggies, then one of my neighbors dropped on over shortly after I had finished my dinner and handed me a plate from his Thanksgiving dinner loaded up with the works!

Gee I manage to have two Thanksgiving Dinners this month. Counting the one that I had already had last weekend. So this evening I sat down and enjoy.

I don't want to see another turkey of anything until next year.

Sorry for the long comment here.

The little April cat has the same frail look of our dear old girls who are 13 now.
What a pleasant Thanksgiving dinner tradition--and no kettles and pans to wash!
