CREATIVE TUESDAY 7-22-14

This week our theme is

Bread and Jam

A nice simple theme that makes me feel hungry when I look at it. But I really enjoyed doing this -- especially the loaf with its crusty top.  I always start out thinking, "No way.  I can't do this", then i get started and I find I can.  Wish I hadn't used yellow card though.  I bought a stack of cards 4x6 containing five different colors thinking this would help me fill in the background.  Sometimes it does, but not in this case.  It was just too yellow.  Well, you live and learn.

BREAD AND JAM

Sorry I missed last week.  We had company, which was fun but my laptop also picked up a virus which was NOT fun.  It had to go to the hospital for a few days.  It was a nasty one.

Now pop over to Creative Tuesday by clicking HERE and see what others have done with the theme this week.

Perfect loaf of bread for someone who claims they don't like to cook. HaHa. I would take a slice right now. I like the touch of the ingred. in the background.

Also the jam and butter looks good, and the knife...really looks real.

Fabulous! Such a beautifully rendered loaf, I can feel and smell that crusty top. A very accomplished drawing.

Oh, Chris, this is awesome! LOVE it. I hope others see it too as when the sign up was fixed it went to a page that no longer existed so it's just been fixed (again) no.

The good thing with the yellow background is that it allows the white of the dishes and bread to stand out--similar to what I did for my piece too. Speaking of that...

I did have to laugh at this:
"A nice simple theme that makes me feel hungry when I look at it."
--Wait until you read my post for this theme. Same thing there for me too. hahahha. In fact, I am "indulging" now as it were. cough cough. ha.

thank you so much for finding the time to play along. I think you more than excelled at this challenge. Love it.

Oh, ans i did want to say how incredibly you rendered those slices of bread. They are practically begging me to eat them...well at least lick the computer screen! :)

Nothing wrong with the background, it works. Glad to see the talent that runs in our family being showcased.

Hi Chris,

You have a special way of writing that gives me a fuzzy feeling. You are wise and compassionate.

As for my bereavement, it will never go away, but God has given me the gift to be able to reach to other to newly bereaved in person, in my talks and my writing. Would I wish it never happened? I don't know.
