I chose this picture of the old barn, because I think it is one of my better pieces this year. It is a real place located only about a half a mile away.
I chose this second piece because I like the mood of it. The birds are so typical of what I see around me every day. I feel like there is some movement in the picture though it may not be the best I've done technically. We don't have snow here and there should be some background behind the snow, but the birds give me much pleasure. I love to see them waiting for the feeder to be filled.
A BLESSED CHRISTMAS TO ALL MY CREATIVE TUESDAY FRIENDS

Nice pictures. The one of the shed makes me think of some photos I have of the garden at Craig-y-don.
You are right about the birds, there is movement. You can almost see them flitting between branches.
PS you seem to have caught the 'prove you are not a robot' syndrome. It seems Google are adding it on new posts now.
I like them both!
A few months ago we enjoyed small birds twittering and flying quickly over the trees on Arabia Mountain, your painting reminds me of that!
Loving your two favourite pieces this year Chris!
Your red barn drawing is one of my favourites as well, as it has so much character and depth to it. Definately agree with the mood of your second choice, again a well drawn picture.
I'm with Linda-- very memorable pieces and not surprised you chose them. Of these two, I'm note sure which is my fave. both offer so much but best of all is reading why you chose them. Love that and love that CT offered you that too. thank you for showing these to us and the Christmas blessing too. Wishing you all the joys of the season too. Blessings to you and yours. :)
Love them both, Chris...my favourites!
I love both of your choices. Actually, I feel a sense of movement in both. The birds have that quality for sure, but so do the trees (no artist here.. just my thoughts) and so does the barn. I can almost hear the creek of the sagging boards and door so poorly secured, it could almost swing to and fro.
Happy Birthday, Chris. I'm not sure of the exact day, but it must be significant to you that it comes in the Christmas season. I hope this time will be filled with love and peace as you celebrate the birth of Jesus with family and friends. I'll look forward to being in touch again in January. Many thanks for the support and encouragement you have extended so generously!
I love both choices too, but I especially love the barn. The wood has such well done texture and the picture transports me being into the same space as the barn. Beautiful job all year around!
I thought the tree and birds piece is quite nice, it does have a kind of mood though I do not find it sad, it's a nice winter scene, I do not think you need a background, I like the blue space.
I do like the barn being this certain angle, it's a good perspective, I can picture this as being real.
anyway, hope you have a great day.
Very lovely Chris. I love them both too.
I liked both your pieces... But I think my favorite is the birds. So much feeling and movement in that one. :)
