Well, I really hope I've made it this week. Our new hard drive is mostly up and running, but the scanner is not yet installed, so for now I have had to photograph my entries for Creative Tuesday. The reproductions here are not quite all the color I actually produced, but I think you can get the idea.
FRIDAY 25th: Because I finally got my scanner working, today I pasted in below the copy of Wanda's birthday card after I was able to scan it . What a difference!
I have also done the same with the Nursery Rhyme picture further below.
Our theme was to design a birthday card for Wanda who has been a great supporter of Creative Tuesday for many months.
My entry for the last theme two weeks ago, Nursery Rhymes, was all ready to be posted when our hard drive died, so I have taken this opportunity to post it here this week. I hope you don't mind. Since I had put quite a lot effort into deciding what to do and then executing it, I decided I really wanted to post it, late or not. So here it is:
Below is the scanned version:
Can you guess what nursery rhymes are represented here?
How about,
Polly put the Kettle On; Ding Dong Bell; Twinkle Twinkle Little Star; Hey Diddle, Diddle; Little Boy Blue; Jack and Jill; Rain, Rain Go Away; I had a Little Nut Tree; Humpty Dumpty; One, Two. Three, Four, Five...
It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun.
See you next time!
WHOOPS! Forgot to do the link for Creative Tuesday. Come over to see the other pieces of artwork illustrating our theme and why not consider joining us? Here's the LINK

Chris your entries are superb! Love Wanda's card and what a great collection of nursery rhymes, good thing thing this is not a competition, lol.
Oh Chris.. What a lovely card. You have an eye and heart for what I enjoy. Love the colors the swirls and the flowers.
Your Nursery Rhymes...are beyond fabulous. What a great idea to combine them in your lovely mosaic fashion...I found most of them before reading the answers.
Thanks so much Chris...I love my BD Card.
Hi Chris !
Pretty Birthday card !
I agree with Wanda about your Nursery Rhymes. Excellent work !
these are great! I see the pail, the star, the egg shell... the rest am not so familiar with. Great birthday card too! It definitely is worthy of being mailed
Such a very lovely card Chris; I do love a pretty swirl or three ;)
I got al the rhymes except Rain Rain Go Away - I really like what you did with that one, I'm glad you posted it after all :o))
I like the card. it's very pretty and even though I see the background as orange-like, the floral designs are so pretty & I like bright colors. it's a wonderful card.
have a great day.
Good to see you blogging again! And with two very worthy entries! I love the card, and I did get most of the nursery rhymes. My clever sister!
Such a gorgeous card, with all the lovely pops of colour together with the movement of the swirls.
Your nursery ryhme picture is so wonderful with all the patterns. Am glad that we got to see it.
That is a pretty birthday card for Wanda, and the nursery rhyme drawing is very lively.
ChrisJ,
I'm so glad you included the lovely Rhymes one as well. Love how you combined all those diddies together. Clever and very colourful too.
Thank you for your tribute to Wanda too. I like the top one the best with its natural colour. It;s very pretty.
BTW, when you sign up, use the URL address of the post itself, so in this case, http://flamblogger.blogspot.com/2014/04/creative-tuesday-birthday-card.html vs using just your blog. That way we can find it if you post anything later and we go a few days later to click on it. :)
Quite a difference when they are scanned. I did not get all the rhymes before I found you had given them lower down. Clever. Sorry I have not commented recently, been touring and not always wifi in range or just tired out from walking.
Sorry, cannot figure out the nursery rhyme! I find just taking a photo of cards I make the best.
