THIS IS 'JASMINE' August last year.
This was taken last summer in Hawaii when she and my sister, Kaybee, spent some time with us on vacation.
Today she is entering her third week in the hospital with continuing intermittent seizures -- not epileptic. Today she has had a 24 hour EEG while under heavy sedation. Of course we have no idea of the results yet.
Haley, my granddaughter, is continuing on the same level with her Crohn's disease and they are still considering surgery.
This is just an update for my blogging friends and a request for continuing prayer. We are all doing well given the circumstances. Pray for continued peace and strength for Kaybee. Jasmine is doing well between medical procedures and keeping her spirits up, but it's been a long haul.
I'll be back to more regular blogging once the urgent needs have subsided. Right now I just need all my concentration for whatever each day brings.
It is a shame, she looks so fit there, a little 'wider' than when I last saw her in person, but she had just recovered from an op on her shoulder back then. She seems to be unlucky with her health. Our thoughts are still with all of you, especially Jasmine and Haley.
my prayers continue for you and your family.
Dear Chris ! I've just read the news of your niece and granddaughter. Black Jack wrote this in her post!
I shall also think of you and your sick relatives, and pray for them.
Take care of yourself too.
Wil, ABCW Team.
Praying for your family and especially for those going through the tests, etc.
So nice to put a face with a name when you are praying. Will continue to do so.
The seasons are changing and I am ordering some new winter trousers for the motorbike - then we'll be suitably dressed for Flamborough!
Always think of you!
Prayers for Jasmine and Haley, and praying for Kaybee and you, too.
That is a good photo of Jasmine, not easy to get a cat to look up when you are taking a photo! xx
Still thinking of, and sending my very best, to Jasmine and Haley. Beautiful photo of Jasmine.. I remember that the three of you were so happy that the same cat had turned up for several years in a row and was still doing well. Hoping that, not so far into the future, you will be vacationing together again. Thanks so much for the update, Chris. I am happy that you are staying strong.
Hopped over from Creative Tuesdays, so sorry to hear about your niece and granddaughter. Praying for you through these tough times.
Dear Chris, my thoughts and prayers are with you for your dear niece and granddaughter, and positive thoughts for their full recovery to good health.
I must tell you that my daughter has Crohns and she is having a new treatment which requires her to have a drip inserted for a couple of hours every 3 weeks and it is having a positive effect.
I can't tell you what the drug is but if you require more info please e-mail me on, (email@example.com) I shall ask my daughter.
