Colorful birds...(hang in there it gets better.) I just had to post these pictures as I Can't Count the number of hours I spent yesterday and today trying to Catch a photo of the male Oriole who visits our area for only a Couple of months in the summer. And this summer has been the Coldest along the Coast since 1916 and the Coolest July since 1933. We Southern Californians Confess we have Complained Ceaselessly about the Continuous Cloud Cover which Causes us much Chagrin!
Caught him! The Colorful male Hooded Oriole, with his not so Colorful wife, who is giving us the "angry bluebird" stare.
Meanwhile I am Chris, the Cat-sitter for a Couple of weeks for my son's two Cats. One is named Cleo, and Could be Closeted in a Corner somewhere and may even have become a Celestial Character, for all I see of her. Contrariwise, (yes it's in the dictionary) her sister Josie loves to be Cuddled and Can't wait to Curl up on my lap when I arrive.
This is the Cool Cat, Josie, and no she's not a Maine Coon.
As well as Cats, my son has a Collection of Cacti in his yard and with these I will
(Sorry I can't identify them for you. I'm not a cactus expert).

What a delightful array of "C's"
The bird is lovely, and I know you enjoy Josie. I don't have too many cactus, but I do have a lot of succulents.
The cactus in my ABC pictures in on my side of the fence, but belongs to my neighbor.
I'm posting a new challenge, but want you so let me know when you butterflies are done. No deadlines, just fun!!!
What a fantastic collection of Cs for the C Day! Your photos are wonderful and I did so enjoy them all! Hope your week is going well! Enjoy!

Your wait paid off - beautiful birds. I've known cats like Cleo - hiding when company is around and only coming out for their owners. Bashful little creatures.
Well done on that oriole photo. I love it! And the cactus are wonderful too. I've always known that bottom one as house leek. I have some in a hanging basket in the garden. (They're more or less hardy as long as the weather doesn't get REALLY cold so I still have a bit of green in deep winter thanks to them)
Can't help with the others though.
Excellent colection of Cs.
Hello Chris !
What a post, full of C !
Beautiful collection of cactus.
I love the painting of your previous post.
You make a good primary school teacher, or are you one?
I live that hairy yellow cacti.
Beautiful bird photo! I am so bad at taking pictures of birds. Well done!
Your blog post for C contains the two words that I wanted in mine, Cat and Cactus. I did not have time to take pictures of a special cactus-garden here in Norrkoping, so I only have half my post, Cats. (I may have Cactus when Mrs. Matlock has 'C' on Alphabe-Thursday in September.)
Love all your many C-words.
I feel for your loss of Bailey the cat. I am wondering how long I will have my Cajsa who is eleven years old. You never know with cats. A young kit can have an accident and not live very long. And then sometimes there are granny-cats that live until they are 15 or longer.
Wonderful photos. I love the gray kitty. Is that your present cat? Looks like a Norwegian Forest or a Maine Coon.
Best wishes,
Anna

A wonderful post, Chris! Josie is so beautiful. That photo of the birds is phenomenal!
Since I thought Orioles were cookies (hey, I'm Dutch), I am glad to finally see this bird properly! Thank you...
I was totally Captivated by your Collection of C words.
Great fun. Love the picture of the feline.

So COOL how you CAPTURED the photos, and also how you CAPITALIZED (and bolded) all the Cs in your post.

Chris-I am Confounded and Caught by all your Contrasting C's...Can't think of many other...guess I am all C'd out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Plenty of C's here for everyone. I do like the colourful pretty birds and the beautiful cat. A
More than anything I am amazed by the fact that you had so much patience to embolden all those Cs!
I do love the photo of the Orioles -- great shot -- of Josie, too!
Wonderful C'a. The cacti really caught my attention - I absolutely love them, although I can't name them all either!
What a fun post! I love the cacti. I wish we could plant them outdoors here, but I fear they'd be killed by the frosts and wet in winter.
Josie is a handsome cat, isn't she? Does she enjoy being brushed? I hope so!
Wonderful assortment of C's. Apparently your son lives in an area that grows cactus grows very nicely. Good luck with your project due on Wed. Thanks also for your visits.
very nice C post :) plenty to C and read to enjoy!
