I do apologize for not replying to all the nice comments I've been getting. My past-times are beginning to overflow -- photos of birds, shelter cats, son's cats, painting, blogging. I took three books out of the library two weeks ago and I still have one left to read. I'd better check when it's due! I used to read 3-5 books a week in past summers. Time to reorganize my days I think. I guess it's a good problem to be short on time when you're retired.
Anyway, here are my last two paintings from Wanda's Art Challenge. They are both ATC size. The butterfly and flower is done in water color and the Bessie the Jersey Cow is in prisma color pencils.
If you like to draw or paint do visit Wanda's ART Challenge. She's getting ready to post a new one soon.
Now I have to get busy with my entry for ABC Wednesday. Yes I know it's only Friday, but it takes me a while to get my brain buzzing and I'm slower than most on the computer because I never learned to type and I have to proof read everything carefully.

So nice!! I wish I could draw. have a great weekend :)
How long does it take you to complete these little masterpieces? I love the one you've done of Jay's village butcher. I liked your C post too - beautiful cats and cactus plants as well.
(By the way, our courgettes are your zucchini:-})
What lovely drawings! The cow's eyes are so liquid, so perfect!
I've never been as busy as I am now, living the "retired" life. Last Wednesday was our final lesson in the six month MasterLife Bible Study, so I feel I will have more time since I will not be starting another class real soon.
Love that you take the time to do the Art Challenges...that's why I decided not to have deadlines, just enjoy at your own pace.
Love and Hugs Chris

The supher-yellow butterfly on a sunflower [or it could be a zinnia] is so like those who have been visiting my garden.
Butterflies don't cooperate in the photo process, but I have a few nice ones almost by accident.
Our beautiful cardinals and bluebirds are totally elusive.
And the cats--well, the cats can tempt me to follow them with the camera by the hour--but I think they get self-concious and refuse to pose.
Love the retired life and being able to do a little of this and a little of that.
Great artwork Chris. Keep it up.
Don't you just love cows' eyes? This is a very well done portrait, as is the flower - beautifully subtle and soft. x
Oh, I do love your drawings! How talented you are! Such lovely colors and designs and flowers! And what a terrific post for the D Day! Thank you for sharing the beauty and your talent! Enjoy the rest of your week!
