CREATIVE TUESDAY-5/5/2015

OUR THEME THIS WEEK IS....WET
I loved this theme and had no shortage of ideas but this is the one I decided upon.  I call it "Puddles".

I think this is one of my most favorite pictures that I have drawn in recent years, not because it is so especially good, but I like the mischievous girl, and the dog looking equally mischievous.  I like the colors and especially the movement.

This is the first drawing I have done in about a month -- since I came out of the hospital actually.  For a while I didn't have the mental energy or enthusiasm to draw or write, but I have felt so much better this past week that I was just ready to go with this picture!

P.S.  I have surgery in 3 weeks -- shouldn't be serious, but there might be a gap in my posts again until I get my energy back.  Thank you, if you can be praying.

I love this drawing as well, Chris! It looked like so much fun, I wanted to jump into that puddle too :) I'm so happy you are beginning to recoup your energy. I will be hoping to see more posts before you have the surgery, but will be hoping for the very best outcome on that front for sure.

A beautiful drawing suitable with the bad weather over here.
I wish you the best for the next surgery.

That is brilliant, it has captured the delight that little kids find in a puddle. both my children and my grandchildren behaved just like that on wet days. It looks like it should be the kind of illustration found in a childrens story book It is good.

Love this Chris. It shows pure joy and excitement. And you did get the water to move.
Blessings and prayers for swift recovery,
Janis

Chris, I'm so sorry to hear you've not been well and more surgery to come. I'll keep you in my prayers so you can return with more creative, beautiful paintings. And you have captured movement as well as the girl and her dog's mischievous antics. :-)

I DO love this drawing, Chris, and I echo all the comments above. Just one thing, I think Puddles would be a perfect name for the dog!

So cute! Looks like it was lifted from a kid lit book :-D Love the popping out of the colors of her yellow coat, and it's so much fun to play in rain puddles like that. Great job!
