This is my rendition of the art challenge on http://www.sandy-everydayart.blogspot.com It took me three hours to do, is approximately 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches and is done in Prismacolor pencils.
There will be a new challenge each week and I'm hoping to participate regularly -- but we shall see. I like to work on my art while watching something worthwhile on TV. Last night I 'watched' PBS with "Live from the Met". Rhonda Flemming was singing sections from three different operas. She is not my most favorite singer, tho' she has a good voice, but the first opera she sang from was part of La Traviata which is one of my most favorite operas. The second one was Manon. I don't know this one very well and it was OK. But the last one I turned off -- definitely not my 'cup of tea'.
Speaking of which...it's about that time!

Oh Chris, you are a master with cats..... Could it have anything to do with your love of cats, and Bailey in particular!!!1
Wonderful job.....
Wow! Your sketch is beautiful. The cat looks so regal.

Beautiful drawaing, Chris, as usually !
I am not fan of opera. I like very much Carmen. I watched a day this opera sung by Placido Domingo and Julia Migenez-Johnson.
I have an idea. I want to print your drawing of the oprison door and give it to our Tourist Office in Chateau-du-Loir. May have write your name and your town ?
Lovely Chris. One day when I am organised i will have a daily sketch exercise....one day! lol!
Very prrretty. This one looks a little meaner than Wanda's rendition.
Your sketch is really well done, Chris -- I love it!
Hi Chris. Great cat!! I started to do it, but the very dark spot around his mouth did me in. Had to chuckle over your profile. Pastor's wife, but not frumpy. And you've written FIVE books!?! wow. Any steamy romance novels? (not my cup of tea, truth be told. Just trying too hard to be funny.)
Opera and Rhonda Fleming. We aren't talking about the movie star Rhonda Fleming, are we? No doubt I'm dating myself.
I'm so glad you've joined in with the art challenge.
You did a great job on the cat!
Lovely!
That looks good Chris. Keep up the good drawings.
