K is for....
... which I get a lot of , but I have to have Moth there to take the photo and you have to be pretty quick off the mark to catch it at the right second. Sorry the quality of photo is not that good. We should have had the flash on.
He really is such a love of a cat! We've had about 7 cats over the past 40 years and Scruffy is just the nicest one we've ever had, with Pogue, our Siamese from about ten years ago being a close second.
Since I haven't posted many photos of Scruffy lately, I thought I'd just throw this other one in taken a couple of days ago even though it isn't a 'K' photo.
Below is a photo of one of my sister KAY's recent tangles. She did several of these and they are so good they look like lace. She does beautiful art work with a very delicate touch. Try visiting her blog at kaybee-patchworkquilt.blogspot.com and then while you're there click on Kaybee's Art listed in the side bar where she has posted many more beautiful pieces. Her work is so good I feel it deserves a wider audience, so do go visit.
Finally for the letter "K"my husband and I were out taking our evening walk around the park close by the small lake, and look what we found -- enormous KOI fish. So I quickly got out my camera remembering the letter "K" was this week.
Because the reflection was so clear, this last photo looks like he is swimming among the trees up in the sky.
Well, this is my contribution to ABC Wednesday this week, the highly successful and interesting meme begun by Mrs. Nesbitt and continued by Roger Owen Green, now in its 13 round. To see more fascinating contributions, please click HERE.
Good collection of K words and shots. Carver, ABC Wed. Team
Your cat has similar color and markings to a favorite cat of ours, and I can see from the first photo that he wears his heart on his chest.
KILLER shots, Chris. Those koi really are huge! And your sister's art is lovely.
Your sister is quite the artist. Lovely lacy work....that should have been for next week...(:0)
Your Kitty looks like he is King of the (Kastle.)
My cats will alternatingly kiss and bite us!
ROG, ABC Wednesday team
I love the selection of shots this week and your sister's tangle is marvellous - well done both of you.
Two K's and a Kay. You do have a nice cat and he seems to be a part of the family.
Yes Chris I did give Flamborough a wave from you on Sunday lol!
Scruffy is gorgeous. I'd love to have Koi but they eat everything and I suppose I'd rather keep the wildlife in the pond.
Your sister is very talented - beautiful work. You both inherited artistic genes.
The piece of string in the photos looks like Scruffy is about to unravel something. The koi photos are lovely, they do indeed look as though they are floating in the trees.
All great K's. The tangle is very interesting.
Great choices for K!
Kitty kisses sure do tickle tho!
That fish certainly did look like it was flying!
The photographs look much warmer and life-like without flash. If they are a tiny bit blurd, so what : so is life.
Still on our trip, so didn't get to do my K this week. But now at Sue's (Photowantabe) home have a few minutes to check out my blog friends.
Love the kitty kisses, and the koi are beautiful, Nice camera work Chris.
All your K's are wonderful. I love cats, so you made me happy with these cat pictures! The Koi fish photos turned out beautifully too!
